Special Accomodations
If you require special accommodations for your LPI Test, you must contact the LPI Office at least two months in advance of your requested date. No provisions are provided for special accommodations at LPI public sittings. See the information below.
Notice for examinees requesting special accommodations (e.g., examinees with disabilities, dispensation for non-sabbath examination dates)
For examinees legitimately requiring special testing accommodations while taking the LPI, the LPI Office will provide reasonable accommodations that are appropriate given the purpose of the test. To be considered for testing accommodations, you must submit the following information:
- a clear statement of the diagnosed disability or disabilities
- a description of the functional limitations resulting from the disability or disabilities
- a complete educational, developmental, and medical history relevant to the disability for which testing accommodations are being requested
- a list of all test instruments used in the evaluation report and relevant subtest scores used to document the stated disability (this requirement does not apply to physical or sensory disabilities of a permanent or unchanging nature)
- a description of the specific accommodation(s) requested
- the diagnosis must be typed or printed on official letterhead and be signed by an evaluator qualified to make the diagnosis (include information about license or certification and area of specialization)..
The diagnostic information must be current, i.e., completed within the following time limits:
- learning disabilities-during the last 5 years
- psychiatric disabilities-during the last 6 months
- ADHD and all other disabilities- during the last 3 years
NOTE: the currency requirement does not apply to physical or sensory disabilities of a permanent or unchanging nature.
Test takers requesting accommodations cannot register using the online registration system and must submit their requests to be received in the LPI Office at least three (2) months prior to the requested test date.
